Zach Martin

Zach Martin has been teaching for Rutherford County Schools for 20 years.  He taught 8th grade science at Rockvale Middle for 16 years before moving to Blackman Middle to found their first STEM program 7 years ago.  Zach loves being able to help students realize just how innovative and gifted they are through  exploring coding and robotics. In addition, Zach coaches Golf and heads the FCA. He is married (she's a teacher too!) and has two great kids. He and his family are involved in their community and their church home of Belle Aire Baptist.

Kevin Welch has been teaching in the Rutherford County School system for the past 10 years. He taught science at Blackman Middle before moving to Stewarts Creek to teach STEM and lead the SC Robotics Team, SC Aquatic Robotics Team, SC Arial Robotics Team, and the SC Combat Robotics Team. Watching students come up with clever solutions to problems is one of the things he loves most about teaching STEM. He loves his two awesome kids, the outdoors, tinkering and building, and Jesus. Leading STEM camps is something he looks forward to every summer!
